Cloppenburg (08 July 2026)
AMCON Software GmbH from Cloppenburg, together with Transdev Vertrieb GmbH, has successfully completed a comprehensive modernization project for Erfurter Bahn. The goal was to introduce new mobile inspection devices and implement modern software for stationary ticket sales, enabling the sustainable digitalization and optimization of sales and inspection processes.
Transdev Vertrieb GmbH, based in Leipzig and part of the Transdev Group, provides extensive nationwide sales services in public transport. With more than 2,600 ticket machines, around 150 sales points, 30 video travel centers, and nearly 500,000 managed subscriptions—sold via webshops, apps, sales offices, or by mail—Transdev operates a broad, customer‑focused sales network.
As part of the project, 144 Point Mobile PM86 handheld inspection devices equipped with AMCON.MTI software were deployed. AMCON also installed four desktop ticketing workstations using AMCON.TICKETSERVICE. During the project, numerous additional requirements were implemented, including the integration of six fare structures and the setup of automated dunning and debt‑collection export processes. In the next phase, existing ticket vending machines will also be connected to the AMCON.SYSTEM.
The new sales and inspection solutions significantly increase transparency and efficiency in operational workflows. At the same time, intuitive interfaces and extensive process automation noticeably reduce the workload for employees.
Darius Rauert, Managing Partner at AMCON Software GmbH, emphasized that the project once again demonstrates the importance of close and trusting collaboration in complex public‑transport digitalization projects. Together with Transdev Vertrieb GmbH and Erfurter Bahn, a future‑proof solution was created that meets both operational requirements and employee needs.
Kevin Ebert, local operations manager at Transdev Vertrieb GmbH, highlighted that the new mobile inspection devices and sales systems provide Erfurter Bahn with a modern and powerful infrastructure that sustainably improves processes. The flexibility of the solution and the constructive cooperation with AMCON were key factors in the project’s success.
With the successful completion of the project, AMCON and Transdev Vertrieb reaffirm their commitment to advancing digitalization in public transport and continuously improving service and operational processes.
