STANDARD INTERFACE HUSST

HUSST – Simple Data Exchange

Due to globalization and the fast pace of modern times, networking is continuously increasing in public transport as well. Therefore, a simple and flexible exchange of data is essential. This applies to fare and revenue data within a transport company just as much as it does to communication between the systems of contractors and transport associations.

In reality, numerous proprietary formats from different manufacturers and historically grown fare structures often stand in the way of such simple exchange, making communication difficult or even impossible.

HUSST provides a solution. With HUSST, fare data flows seamlessly from the backend system to various mobile ticketing devices, ticket machines (or customer terminals), and webshops. Conversely, revenue data reliably finds its way back into the backend system – even when the devices or software involved in the data exchange are from different manufacturers.
The manufacturer-independent standard interface “HUSST” is continuously developed by ITS Germany e.V.
