AMCON.WEBSHOP
Your Webshop for Digital Ticket Sales – Flexible, Intuitive, Customer-Oriented
Whether you’re a major public transport provider or a smaller private operator – in today’s fast-paced digital world, a strong online presence with a dedicated webshop is essential for any sales-driven mobility company. As technology continues to evolve, ticket sales are increasingly shifting to digital channels – a development your transport company should not miss.
Customized Webshop as an Additional Sales Channel
As customer behavior changes, fewer passengers are purchasing tickets at station counters. Instead, they opt for the convenience of a webshop, where purchases can be completed in just a few clicks – eliminating waiting times and reducing potential errors.
With AMCON.WEBSHOP, you can offer your passengers more than just ticket purchases. Customers can also view timetable information, subscribe to season tickets, and manage their accounts – all in one centralized, user-friendly platform. Operating your own webshop not only opens a new sales channel but also reduces commission costs from third-party ticket vendors. The integrated admin portal gives you full control over all sales and customer data generated through your online store.

Through the customized configuration of your webshop, you enable your customers to purchase tickets and apply for subscriptions (such as student, semester, or job tickets) in a simple and user-friendly way. As the shop manager, you can define fixed-price and catalog offers directly within the admin portal and position them individually on the sales interface. These catalog offers can then be structured using product group hierarchies – for example, based on regional or local areas – helping your customers navigate the webshop with ease.
Many public transport operators also use their own webshop to offer exclusive deals via this sales channel. AMCON.WEBSHOP supports this strategy with features such as bundled event and trade fair tickets (transport + entry in one), or multi-ride passes with integrated validation tracking shown in the customer’s order history. These flexible functionalities allow the sales interface to be precisely tailored to your current offers and your customers’ needs.
Customers can place orders either as guests or by creating a user account. A user account allows them to:
Manage personal data
View order history
Handle ticket purchases and subscriptions independently
A particularly popular feature is quick reordering via order history – previously purchased tickets can be re-bought for the current or a future date without needing to reconfigure the ticket.
AMCON.WEBSHOP also provides high flexibility in the checkout process. By integrating various payment service providers, all standard payment methods can be supported, including:
- Credit cards
- PayPal
- SEPA direct debit
- etc.
You also retain full freedom in choosing your preferred payment provider and contractual terms.
With AMCON.WEBSHOP, we tailor your webshop precisely to your specific needs and map your entire fare structure online – whether you require relation-based sales, fixed prices, catalog sales, subscription applications, or other custom features. You decide which functionalities are needed. If you choose to start with a reduced feature set, additional modules can be licensed and added at any time after the initial launch.
Integration with Mobility Platforms and Apps via Standardized Interfaces
Issuing eTickets for Ticketing Apps
Using the AMCON.WEB API, you can issue eTickets in formats such as VDV-KA or UIC barcodes. The interface accepts input such as departure/arrival stop, product type, passenger count, and class. If AMCON holds the tariff data, fare calculation can be done automatically. Otherwise, price level and amount can be provided externally.
The ticket is then generated in the requested format (barcode image/text) and returned to the app – ready for use.
Check-In/Be-Out (CiBo) Systems
AMCON.WEB supports CiBo functionality, where users check in via app when boarding and are automatically checked out upon exiting. Our system handles:
Reservation of payment before boarding
Ticket generation
Post-trip billing – including fare calculation and invoicing if required
Integration into Central Mobility Platforms
Other mobility providers such as bike-sharing, car-sharing, and e-scooter services can be connected via the AMCON.WEB interface. A centralized customer account enables users to access all services via one login. The backend ensures that fare entitlements are passed to the app and all services are billed through a unified customer account – creating a seamless, multimodal mobility experience.
With AMCON.WEBSHOP, your digital sales infrastructure grows with you. Whether you need a full-featured eCommerce solution now or want to expand gradually – we tailor the webshop to your individual needs.
