AMCON.CHECKMATE
Ticket Inspection, Sales, and Increased Fare Penalty Recording with AMCON.MOBILE – An App for Sales Operations
AMCON.CHECKMATE is an Android app designed for ticket inspection, ticket sales, and recording increased fare penalties (EBE) on mobile devices. The app runs on a wide variety of Android devices, offering many years of hardware availability and maximum flexibility in device choice. This makes the application future-proof, eliminating hardware risks. We are happy to advise you on which hardware is best suited for your use case and will find the perfect solution!
All Data Automatically in One Central Location
All data collected during sales, inspections, or EBE recordings are automatically and regularly transferred to the AMCON.SYSTEM. This ensures that all data is always stored centrally, where it can be immediately accessed, managed, or analyzed. Quick and easy decisions can be made by accessing the data—for example, how many tickets were sold or inspected on a certain route on a given day. EBE cases can also be handled directly. These digitalized and automated processes lead to greater efficiency. If no internet connection is available, the app works offline and uploads data to the backend system as soon as a connection is restored.
Intuitive Operation for Comfort and Efficiency
When the device is turned on, the app opens directly in kiosk mode. The customer service agent can log in immediately using their user number and PIN and start working right away. Accidental closure of the app is not possible. The app is intuitive and easy to use. If desired, other apps or websites can be enabled on the device—for example, TeamViewer for independent support by transport companies or a website for timetable information.
AMCON.CHECKMATE also features an integrated chat module. Customer service agents can chat with each other or communicate with the backend system. Questions, problems, or other concerns can be quickly and efficiently resolved through this simple communication flow. Similar to common messenger apps, groups can be created, and images, documents, or surveys can be shared. The chat module complies with GDPR.
In addition to the chat module, it is also possible to make calls using the app. Phone numbers must be pre-approved for calling. However, emergency calls can always be made using a separate emergency call button in the app.

Inspection
With AMCON.CHECKMATE, all machine-readable tickets with 2D barcodes (e.g., UIC or VDV barcodes), mobile tickets, and chip cards according to the VDV-KA standard can be checked. Inspecting all forms of the Deutschlandticket (Germany-wide ticket) is no problem either. The location is updated automatically, enabling verification of both temporal and spatial validity. We also support the use of product and control modules (PKM).
The more valid data that flows into the backend system, the better the evaluations and decisions that can be made. For example, passenger counts can easily be done by scanning tickets or using an integrated button, and this data is automatically sent to the backend system.
EBE Recording
If a passenger cannot present a valid ticket, they must pay an increased fare penalty (EBE). This can be easily recorded in the app. During EBE recording, certain data is requested from the inspector and entered into AMCON.MOBILE. Transport companies can define mandatory fields in the backend system that must be completed with each recording. These data are also automatically transferred to the backend system, where blacklists, whitelists, and warning lists are checked to detect and prevent false information. If any passenger data is found to be incorrect, a popup message appears on the device, immediately notifying the inspector to take appropriate action. Efficiency is further increased through these automated processes.

To ease the workload, AMCON.CHECKMATE, in combination with a suitable device, can also scan ID cards. The data from the ID is returned as a list without storing an image. This software-supported feature enables fast, easy, and automated handling, reducing data entry errors. Created EBEs can also be paid immediately by passengers. Our system supports various payment providers. If the passenger cannot or does not want to pay immediately, they receive a printed notice with information about later payment. For overdue payments, the AMCON.SYSTEM includes a sophisticated dunning system to assist with collecting payments.
Sales
Tickets can also be sold on the go with AMCON.CHECKMATE. Sales options include fixed-price tickets (predefined tickets such as the Lower Saxony ticket), origin-destination sales, line sales (selecting the final stop), and price zone sales (selecting the price zone and then the ticket). The system supports payments via EC terminals and cash.

Easy Shift Closing
At the end of a shift, the service staff can easily close it in the app. The final stop is queried, and a summary of earnings and statistics of sold and inspected tickets is displayed. This summary can be printed or sent by email.
AMCON.CHECKMATE is designed following standardized design guidelines. Thus, even inexperienced users can easily operate the app. This makes work easier for passenger service agents and results in shorter inspection times, benefiting end customers.
