Cloppenburg/Chemnitz (December 5, 2024) – Mitteldeutsche Regiobahn (MRB), a company of the Transdev Group, has successfully completed the implementation of a new sales and inspection solution. The system went live as scheduled on December 1, 2024.

As part of its efforts to modernize and digitalize its sales processes, Transdev Mitteldeutschland GmbH commissioned AMCON to deliver and implement this comprehensive solution. The project included the provision of 160 mobile terminals, 15 ticket office workstations, associated peripheral devices, and a back-end sales system.

Digitization of control processes with AMCON.MOBILE

With the new solution, AMCON.MOBILE, MRB is now equipped to verify both traditional paper tickets and electronic tickets in various formats. The inspection process is fully digital and complies with the latest industry standards such as UIC 918.9 and VDV-KA. Even the processing of increased fare charges (EBE) is handled entirely digitally, significantly increasing the efficiency and accuracy of operations.

“We are extremely proud of the successful implementation of this project and the excellent collaboration with MRB. This project represents another important step toward digitalization and efficiency in regional rail transport,” said Darius Rauert, Managing Partner at AMCON Software GmbH.

Heiko Tröger, Head of Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service at Transdev Mitteldeutschland GmbH, added: “Working with AMCON has been extremely productive, and we are thrilled with the results. This new solution will significantly improve our sales and inspection processes and provide even better service for our customers.”

MRB passengers benefit from faster and more efficient ticket inspections, resulting in shorter wait times and a smoother travel experience. The ability to validate both paper and electronic tickets in various formats offers greater flexibility and convenience. In addition, the digital handling of increased fare charges (EBE) allows for faster and more accurate processing, further improving customer satisfaction.

AMCON extends its gratitude to the Transdev Group for the trust placed in them and looks forward to continuing to support MRB in its digital transformation. The successful implementation of this solution is a testament to the strong partnership between the two companies and their shared commitment to innovation and quality. AMCON is confident that this new solution will deliver significant added value for MRB and its passengers.

The continued collaboration and mutual trust have been key factors in the success of this project, and AMCON looks forward to working together on future innovative solutions.
