The Dessauer Verkehrs GmbH has commissioned the software company AMCON from Cloppenburg to extend the existing system with a student subscription management module for the 2021/2022 school year change and a recording system for increased transport fees (EBE), including dunning management. Since 2014, Dessauer Verkehrs GmbH has been working with AMCON, starting with cash registers and mobile sales devices. Since February 2020, stationary customer terminals with cashless and contactless payment functions have also been in use. “We are pleased that AMCON is now also implementing the subscription management and ticket inspection with EBE recording for us. As with the other modules, everything runs through a background system, which makes our work in the central office easier,” says René Hentschel, Head of Planning and Operations at Dessauer Verkehrs GmbH.
Web-based subscription management for the 2021/2022 school year and ticket verification with EBE recording
AMCON is implementing a subscription management system with a web interface in Dessau, allowing students to register online via a website for their desired ticket. Schools and school authorities can review the applications through the web portal and approve or deny subsidies. All data can be conveniently processed further through the backend system. The subscription cards are printed using an existing printer, and billing is handled via invoicing and/or SEPA direct debit through the backend system’s billing module. When students receive subsidies, the cost-sharing between students and school authorities is automatically managed by the system.
In addition to subscription management, there will also be an extension for revenue protection. Dessauer Verkehrs GmbH has ordered 10 inspection devices for EBE recording, which can capture passenger data if they are found without a valid ticket. The data is sent to the backend system, and the central office can send payment requests and reminders. Optionally, an interface to a collection agency can be established.
