Cloppenburg, March 19, 2025 – AMCON Software GmbH is pleased to announce the successful completion of the project with Hamburger Hochbahn. After intensive cooperation, the new sales solution for the Hamburger Hochbahn service points was accepted and put into operation.
Comprehensive sales solution with web services for external services
As part of the project, AMCON installed a comprehensive back-end system, equipped 45 point-of-sale PCs with a sales application, and supplied wireless 1D/2D scanners, custom-made printers with extended paper capacity, customer displays with touch functionality, and eTicket readers. The software enables cross-tariff ticket sales and also offers a payment option for increased fare charges (EBE). External bookings as well as payments from subscription customers of Hamburger Hochbahn are also supported. Existing cash recyclers were integrated into the new solution as well.

The point-of-sale interface can be easily customized using the layout editor, which allows pixel-perfect placement and free movement of interface elements. This flexibility ensures an operator-friendly interface. When implementing the electronic ticketing requirements according to the VDV-KA standard, AMCON was able to draw on experience from previous projects with Hamburger Hochbahn.
