AMCON plans to build its own company headquarters in Molbergen

Parking shortages, cramped conference rooms, lack of storage space, and strong company growth are just some of the reasons why AMCON has been looking for new premises for some time. The 650 square meters at Osterstraße in Cloppenburg are no longer sufficient. In search of suitable spaces, AMCON looked in Cloppenburg as well as in the surrounding municipalities of the district. Molbergen’s mayor Ludger Möller and his deputy Dr. Sebastian Vaske proposed, among other options, the old sports field in Molbergen. With an area of 1.3 hectares and close proximity to the town center, AMCON quickly became enthusiastic about this building site. “We are very pleased that AMCON, a young and promising company, has chosen our community. The software industry is forward-looking and also represents an attractive employer for Molbergen’s youth. Without neglecting our existing crafts and businesses, we are diversifying and also focusing on service providers,” says Möller.

Attractive location for a growing company

The managing directors Olaf Clausen and Darius Rauert agree that the new location offers many advantages for the company’s further development. “The new company headquarters will provide around 1,500 square meters of office space to accommodate up to 100 employees. There will also be a lounge and a large kitchen where our team can spend their breaks, cook, or warm up brought meals. Creative rooms to foster ideas are also planned,” says Olaf Clausen. Additionally, there will be rooms where colleagues can retreat for longer phone calls with customers. The new building will be designed like a campus, allowing for gradual expansion at any time. “Molbergen offers ideal development opportunities for us. The municipality is ambitious and has big plans in the coming years, just like we do. That’s a perfect match,” says Darius Rauert. The old sports field also has the advantage of being close to bakeries, snack shops, and shopping facilities. “We hope to start construction this year and move into the new premises by early 2021,” says Rauert. To bridge the time until the move, AMCON has already rented additional office space on Mühlenstraße in Cloppenburg, which will be occupied from May 1 this year.
