Datenschutzhinweise AMCON.Hackathon

Thank you for your interest at AMCON.hackathon. Since your privacy is an important concern for us, we would like to inform you below about the processing of your personal data and your data protection rights in the context of the AMCON.hackathon in accordance with the applicable legal provisions of data protection law, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  1. What categories of personal data are processed and where does the data come from?

We only collect and process personal data that we have received from you as part of the registration process and that you have consented to being processed. This includes: Surname, first name, address, e-mail address, telephone number and date of birth, as well as photos and video recordings, if applicable.

 

  1. Purposes and legal basis of data processing

We process your data listed above to carry out the AMCON.hackathon.

 

3.1 Registration for the hackathon via the registration form

 

If you send us your registration via the registration form, your details from the form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the registration and for further contact regarding the AMCON.hackathon. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR if your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the requests addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR), if this has been requested.

The data you enter in the registration form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular retention periods, remain unaffected.

 

3.2 Preparation and implementation of the event

 

We process personal data if this is necessary for the preparation and implementation of the AMCON.hackathon. The purposes include in particular

  • the selection of participants
  • Notification of participation
  • the handling of the event
  • the processing of the prize
  • the handling of further cooperation with the winners
  • Notification of future AMCON formats (voluntary)

Data processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. You must provide the personal data required for the preparation and implementation of the AMCON.hackathon. Without this data, we will not be able to facilitate your participation in the AMCON.hackathon.

We will delete the data if it is no longer required for the purposes of preparing and running the event and no other legal basis applies. If the latter is the case, we will delete the data once the other legal basis no longer applies.

 

3.3 Further cooperation after the event

If participation in the AMCON.hackathon should result in opportunities for further cooperation with AMCON Software GmbH, the personal data collected will be stored and processed for the purposes of cooperation. This is done after prior consultation and consent with the participants concerned (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a).

 

  1. Storage period of the personal data

Personal data will be processed and stored for as long as is necessary to carry out the AMCON.hackathon. Personal data collected for the purpose of registration for hackathon participation will be stored until this phase has been fully completed. The following applies:

  • Personal data of participants who receive a refusal to participate in the event will be deleted immediately after reviewing the registration and issuing the refusal.
  • Personal data of participants who have been selected to take part in the event and who do not qualify for a prize in this challenge or no further cooperation with AMCON arises will be deleted after the end of the event.
  • Personal data of participants who have been selected to take part in the event and who, in the course of this challenge, are selected for a prize and/or further cooperation with AMCON, will be stored until the end of the cooperation.

We process and store your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the above-mentioned purposes.

  • Complaint to a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)

  1. Can I revoke my consent?

If we process your data on the basis of your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Your data will then no longer be processed for the purposes covered by your consent. Please note that the lawfulness of the data processing that took place before the withdrawal is not affected by the withdrawal. Please send your revocation to hackathon@amcon.de.

 

  1. Do I have to provide the data or is it necessary for the conclusion of the contract?

You only have to provide us with the personal data that we need to carry out your participation in the AMCON.hackathon. If you do not provide us with this data, we will not be able to consider you for participation in the AMCON.hackathon.

 

  1. Will my data be used for automated decision-making? And if so, how is this done and what impact does this have on me?

No, automated decision-making does not take place.
