Starting now, the UFHO software is in use on the first of the planned 20 mobile ticket machines on tram line M5 as part of a pilot project by the Berlin Transport Company (BVG). Together with hardware manufacturer Pyramid Computer, AMCON has developed an innovative product designed to convince Berlin’s passengers. The new customer terminal features a 32-inch tilted touchscreen that can be operated optimally and remains easy to read even in strong sunlight. Ticket payments are made cashless.

In addition to the machines on the trams, the new customer terminals can also be used at the beginning of the pilot project in front of the BVG customer center at Alexanderplatz.

Pilot project examines the requirements for the sales technology of the future

The BVG project involves an 18-month pilot trial for mobile ticket machines to be deployed on selected tram lines. The focus is on identifying requirements for sales technology. “The launch of the customer terminals in Berlin marks another milestone for our company on the path to becoming a full-service provider. We are proud to be part of this and look forward to the passengers’ feedback,” says Darius Rauert, Managing Director of AMCON GmbH.
