New subscription portal of OVAG – AMCON solution creates customer value for OVAG customers.

Cloppenburg, February 24, 2026 – The Oberbergische Verkehrsgesellschaft (OVAG) introduced a new subscription portal on November 1, 2025. Passengers can now conveniently order tickets such as the Deutschlandticket or the job ticket online, update personal data, or cancel subscriptions – all without paper forms. Employers have been provided with a dedicated job ticket portal. In the coming months, the portal will be expanded to include student tickets.

The technical implementation was carried out in cooperation with the software provider AMCON Software GmbH based in Cloppenburg. In addition to the subscription portal (AMCON.ABO in combination with AMCON.WEB), VDV-KA-certified mobile sales and inspection devices (AMCON.MTI) as well as a new system for customer and complaint management are also in use.

Danijel Tadic, Head of Marketing and Sales at OVAG, emphasizes:

AMCON launches new online shop for HochstiftBewegt: Germany tickets now available digitally and conveniently.

Cloppenburg/Paderborn, February 9, 2026 – The new brand HochstiftBewegt organizes, develops, and markets public transport in the districts of Paderborn and Höxter. It bundles all tasks – from service planning and sales to customer communication and the continuous optimization of bus operations – under one roof, in order to create customer-oriented and future-proof mobility services.

To further enhance its service for passengers, HochstiftBewegt commissioned the Cloppenburg-based system provider AMCON Software GmbH to deliver and implement a web shop for Deutschlandtickets, including wallet integration. The project was successfully completed in less than three months. Customers can now conveniently purchase their Deutschlandtickets online at www.tickets.hochstiftbewegt.de.

Through a dedicated administration portal, HochstiftBewegt can centrally manage its Deutschlandticket subscribers. The portal enables the management of up to 10,000 tickets and ensures smooth operations. The online shop offering will be gradually expanded in the coming months.

In addition, a connection to the UIC security portal provides greater security and transparency. Through this portal, UIC tickets can be blocked in real time when necessary, effectively preventing and combating ticket fraud.

AMCON modernises city buses for Hamm municipal utilities

Cloppenburg/Hamm (02. February 2026) Stadtwerke Hamm operates public transport in Hamm, primarily city bus services, and has commissioned Cloppenburg-based software manufacturer AMCON to equip its buses with digital sales technology. A total of 77 vehicles will be equipped with the AMCON.SmartBus solution, consisting of 10-inch Windows tablets and separate ticket printers. In addition, there will be 116 eTicket-enabled validators for cashless payments, some with printers and some without.

The modular system components can be flexibly adapted to growing requirements and offer passengers greater comfort and easier use of public transport, while also providing drivers with a better overview and greater efficiency. This provides Stadtwerke Hamm with a future-proof solution for the digital transformation of public transport and lays the foundation for long-term cooperation with AMCON.

AMCON trainees develop energy-saving measure for the entire company

Cloppenburg, 16. Juli 2025 – How can AMCON reduce its energy consumption and at the same time raise awareness of sustainability within the company? The trainees at the Cloppenburg-based software company asked themselves this question – with a convincing result: as part of this year’s “Energy Scouts Competition” organized by the Oldenburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce, they developed the “Switchify” solution and won first place. Switchify is intended to help significantly reduce electricity consumption in everyday office life in future.

The idea behind it is simple and effective: all the workstations of around 200 employees are to be shut down centrally and properly after work. This will prevent devices from continuing to consume power in standby mode – an often underestimated factor in office environments. The measure promises tangible savings in energy consumption and therefore also in operating costs.

For AMCON, the project is an example of how initiative and technical understanding can make valuable contributions to the company right from the training stage. In addition to the ecological benefits, the project strengthens the trainees’ independence and sense of responsibility. Skills that also benefit the company in the long term.

Olaf Clausen, Managing Partner of AMCON GmbH, emphasizes the value of the project: “We are very happy to take part in the IHK Energy Scout competition in order to sensitize our trainees to topics such as energy saving and sustainability at an early stage. In our view, it is crucial that all companies get involved – regardless of how big their individual contribution appears to be. VWS Siegen relies on modern ticketing solutions from AMCON

Cloppenburg, 15. July 2025 – VWS Verkehrsbetriebe Westfalen-Süd GmbH, responsible for public transport (ÖPNV) in the districts of Siegen-Wittgenstein and Olpe, has introduced new sales systems as part of a comprehensive digitalization project.

The Cloppenburg-based software manufacturer AMCON supplied a wide range of modern solutions for this project: mobile data capture devices for inspection and ticket sales on board, stationary cash register systems for sales at service points, and a flexible subscription solution. The latter supports various subscription models, including the Deutschlandticket in its standard, student, and job ticket versions, as well as other regional subscription products.

The system is complemented by a user-friendly customer app offering numerous functions for passengers. In addition to direct sales of tickets for occasional travel, it enables digital issuance of subscriptions and includes an intuitive timetable and stop information feature.

All components are now successfully in operation and support VWS in providing efficient, customer-focused ticket sales – from inspection and sales to self-service. “Introducing the new ticketing solutions is an important step for us towards digitalization and customer focus. With AMCON’s systems, we can offer our passengers significantly improved service – flexible, simple, and up to date,” says Jörg Mühlhaus, Managing Director of VWS.

AMCON Systemlösungen GmbH delivers an end customer app and a web store for Klagenfurt Mobil GmbH

Klagenfurt (May 19, 2025) The subsidiary “AMCON Systemlösungen GmbH”, recently founded by AMCON Software GmbH and based in Klagenfurt, has received its first order with the implementation of an end customer app and a web store for KMG Klagenfurt Mobil GmbH. KMG operates local public transport in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee and is a close partner of Verkehrsverbund Kärnten GmbH (VKG), which has been an AMCON customer since 2023.

Improved offering through an end customer app and a web shop

The AMCON.APP developed by AMCON should be ready for use this year and offer KMG’s end customers the opportunity to purchase tickets and call up real-time information on departures and arrivals at stops and route information. Current traffic information on public transport will also be taken into account. In addition, all information about shared mobility services is displayed, including e-car sharing providers such as Avant2Go or bike sharing providers such as Nextbike. When planning a route, different means of transport can be taken into account and different shared mobility stations can be displayed.

To round off the offer, KMG is also getting an AMCON.WEBSHOP, which enables the online sale of tickets and topping up the KMG prepaid card.

Both the app and the web store impress with their user-friendliness and extensive range of functions, which places particular emphasis on a positive user experience.

AMCON develops UIC security portal in cooperation with Deutschlandtarifverbund-GmbH

Cloppenburg (06. Mai 2025) AMCON and Deutschlandtarifverbund-GmbH (DTVG) are working together to develop a central UIC security portal. By connecting to this security portal, it will be possible in future to block UIC tickets in real time if necessary – a significant step forward in the fight against ticket fraud and an important step towards greater security and transparency in public transport. This is because tickets with nationwide or international validity in particular have often not been able to be securely checked across the board, despite interoperability.

In order to further increase security standards in ticketing, a reliable cross-system check of ticket validity is essential. This is precisely where the new project of Deutschlandtarifverbund-GmbH (DTVG) in cooperation with the Cloppenburg-based software manufacturer AMCON comes in. The UIC security portal is primarily aimed at transport companies and transport associations that issue or recognize offers such as the Deutschlandticket or tariff products in the Deutschlandtarif.

Christian Skobjin, technical project manager at DTVG, emphasizes the importance of the project: “We are delighted to have a reliable and experienced partner at our side in AMCON, with whom we are implementing this important project. The UIC security portal is a user-friendly and centralized solution that helps transport companies and associations to effectively combat ticket fraud.” The DTVG is the association of public transport authorities and railroads. AMCON Software GmbH successfully completes project with Hamburger Hochbahn

Cloppenburg, March 19, 2025 – AMCON Software GmbH is pleased to announce the successful completion of the project with Hamburger Hochbahn. After intensive cooperation, the new sales solution for the Hamburger Hochbahn service points was accepted and put into operation.

Comprehensive sales solution with web services for external services

As part of the project, AMCON installed a comprehensive back-end system, equipped 45 point-of-sale PCs with a sales application, and supplied wireless 1D/2D scanners, custom-made printers with extended paper capacity, customer displays with touch functionality, and eTicket readers. The software enables cross-tariff ticket sales and also offers a payment option for increased fare charges (EBE). External bookings as well as payments from subscription customers of Hamburger Hochbahn are also supported. Existing cash recyclers were integrated into the new solution as well.

“We are very proud of the successful implementation of this project and the positive feedback from Hamburger Hochbahn,” says Darius Rauert, Managing Partner of AMCON. “Our solution offers a user-friendly interface and extensive features that significantly improve the sales process.”

The point-of-sale interface can be easily customized using the layout editor, which allows pixel-perfect placement and free movement of interface elements. This flexibility ensures an operator-friendly interface. When implementing the electronic ticketing requirements according to the VDV-KA standard, AMCON was able to draw on experience from previous projects with Hamburger Hochbahn.
